Weather: Mostly cloudy and cool on Friday. Partly sunny and warm midday Saturday that shifted to overcast with a light sprinkling Saturday night around dinner and before the show. Sunny and warm on Sunday.

Conclave Service Project: In 2024, Section E9 partnered with Surry County Public Schools, the district that serves the community in which Pipsico Scout Reservation is located. At Conclave, attendees donated over 2,000 children’s-age-appropriate books to help replenish the reading materials for students in the local area. During the service project at Conclave, attendees created over 600 bookmarks for students to use while they dive deep into the stories of their donated books. The annual patch auctions, as well as registration donations, were also hugely successful and collectively raised over $2,000 that will be sent to the Surry County Public Schools to support education in the local community.

Notes: Due to the COVID-19 related cancelation of  the 2020 SR-7A Conclave, this was the first Conclave with Blue Heron #349 as the service lodge since 2017 and the second hosted at Pipsico Scout Reservation since COVID, the last one being 2021. This was the first time in SR-7A and E9 history that a presiding OA National Director attended our Conclave. In addition to the 2 national officer guests, current and immediate past section officers from 12 Sections outside of E9 also attended the 2024 Conclave.
